There has been an active Bahá’í community in Courtenay since the early 1980s. Courtenay’s first Spiritual Assembly – a nine-member body that guides the administrative affairs of the community – was incorporated March 1, 1996. Each year, on April 21, the Spiritual Assembly is re-elected by the local community.
The Bahá’ís of Courtenay are a diverse group of families and individuals who are actively engaged in a global process of learning that is helping to build capacity to apply the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh to the transformation of society. We welcome and invite you to join us in the work of translating Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings into reality.
